NextLevel Launches New Webpage

The NextLevel team has been hard at work on a long over-due update of our website; so it gives us great pleasure to announce the launch of the new & improved www.nextlevelis.com. The transformation was designed with your needs in mind: To find accurate information quickly and easily. With improved functionality, restructured navigation and more feature-rich content, we hope you’ll find NextLevelis.com to be your first stop when searching for technology solutions.

We know that change is sometimes difficult, especially when you’ve grown accustomed to the old website. But we believe the new layout better reflects our mission of assisting our clients in leveraging technology to solve every day business problems with solutions that save time and money.

Some new features include:

  • "Support Reps" launches our familiar Bomgar Remote Access Tool that our staff uses to work with clients on support issues and presentations.
  • A multi-layer navigation bar with drop-down lists so you can easily navigate directly to the information you need.
  • Quick links on every page to obtain office & associate numbers, and to find the products and services to help your business.
  • Read what some of our existing customers have to say about their experience with NextLevel and Sage Accpac ERP.
  • Quick forms to easily request brochures, newsletter copies, product updates, service packs and more.

We're proud of the new direction NextLevelis.com is taking, and we invite your comments and feedback on the new design. Your opinion is important to us!

Should We Upgrade Accpac to V5.5?

As you’ve probably already heard, Sage Accpac Enterprise Suite – aka V5.5 - is now available and offers unprecedented features, benefits and free modules. Since first announcing the upgrade availability, we’ve had several clients call with many questions and are including the FAQ below to help you decide if this upgrade is right for your business:

  • Q: Is my company eligible for the upgrade?
  • A: If your company is current with Sage’s Software Assurance program, then you are eligible to receive the upgrade. Software Assurance is Sage’s annual subscription service that grants current users access to service packs, patches and upgrades. With the wealth of free modules and features now included in V5.5, this is yet another example of how subscribing to Sage’s Software Assurance program allows you to maximize your investment.
  • Q: What modules are included for free?
  • A: The following modules are now included with V5.5:
    • Sage CRM, an easy-to-use Customer Relationship Management solution comprising Sales, Marketing and Customer Service Automation with bi-directional data flow between Sage Accpac ERP & Sage CRM. Includes one named user.
    • Analytical Dashboards that provide easily accessed snapshots to help you better analyze, predict and manage your business’ performance.
    • Additional languages (Spanish, French, or Chinese – Traditional & Simplified).
    • GL – Account Code Change & GL Security by Segment.
    • AP – Vendor Number Change
    • AR – Customer Number Change and AR Inquiry which allows you to manage receivables with intelligence and optimized collections.
    • IC – Item Number Change
    • OE – Ops Inquiry which combines information from IC, OE & PO to generate reports on operational data.
  • Q: Will my custom reports or macros be affected by the upgrade?
  • A: As with any upgrade, custom reports, forms and macros will need to be tested for compatibility before the live upgrade.
  • Q: Does V5.5 require an update to my Pervasive database?
  • A: V5.5 requires Pervasive V9.6 or higher.
  • Q: What about my Third-Party products? Will they require an upgrade to work with V5.5?
  • A: Most Third-Party developers have issued patches or upgrades to make their products compatible with Sage Accpac ERP V5.5. However, you will want to contact our office to ensure the add-on products you are running are available before scheduling your upgrade.

We are here to help you with the V5.5 upgrade and answer any questions you may have. Please contact your local NextLevel office or the contact email below to discuss your upgrade options.

Choosing the Right Consulting Firm

What impact does the consulting firm have on your software implementation project? Often, companies think that choosing the right software is the only element of a successful project. However, the consulting firm you choose can spell success – or failure – for your implementation.

Finding a firm that will lend the most benefit to your software implementation doesn’t need to be difficult – if you know the right questions to ask. The first step is to identify possible consulting firms to help you achieve your goals. Then request basic information such as employee strengths and client references to help you narrow your list to two or three final contenders.

Once you have your “short list”, schedule onsite meetings for more in-depth interviews with team members directly involved with the project from both your company, and theirs. Be sure to allow at least one hour for each - anything less is not in your own best interest. Provide them with ample information on the objectives of your project, and be clear about your company’s mission.

During your meeting ask the following questions:

  1. How long has your company been implementing your software solution?
  2. Does your company use the software you sell?
  3. Does your company use staff employees or hire subcontractors?
  4. Does your company use a specific implementation methodology with a project plan and progress reports?
  5. How many similar implementations has your company completed successfully?

Don’t forget to frame your cost considerations in terms of net gain. Experience shows that the lowest bid may not turn out to be the least expensive. Keep in mind your ultimate goal is meeting your net objective.

If you are considering NextLevel for your software implementation, please visit http://www.nextlevelis.com/sagealready.aspx for our answers to the above questions.

Our solutions begin with our commitment to you, and our success is measured by your satisfaction!
